Doug Menuez is an American photographer (b.1957) whose career over 30 years has ranged from photojournalism to commissioned work, fine art documentary projects and film. The driving concern of all his work is to explore and reflect the realities of the human condition. After studying fine art at the San Francisco Art Institute and photojournalism at San Francisco State he began his career freelancing in 1981 for Time, LIFE, Newsweek, Fortune, the New York Times Magazine and many other publications. Menuez has published four books and won numerous awards. His extensive archive of over one million images was acquired by Stanford University Libraries in 2004. His project, Fearless Genius: The Digital Revolution in Silicon Valley 1985-2000 will be published in May 2014 by Simon & Schuster’s Atria Books, and is now traveling worldwide as a fine art exhibition of rare images of Steve Jobs and the greatest innovators of Silicon Valley.
