Stage 7, Booth 408
Damian Siqueiros is a Mexican / Quebecer image maker, a photographer, not the kind that reflects reality, but the kind that imagines one to transform it into something tangible, most often trough multidisciplinary work, may this be art direction, stage design, make up or styling. Gender equality and the acceptance of diversity are key elements of his work. His aesthetic often draws from the great masters of painting, such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Waterhouse. With his work he seeks to provoke emotions, change, conversations and respectful confrontation. He has exhibited in museums and galleries trough out North America and Europe, such as the Art Museum of the Americas. He also has collaborated with international magazines, companies and amazing artists such as Vogue, Elle and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens à Montréal, choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Canadian dance icon Margie Gillis. He believes that “beauty will save the world” and he plans to do it one image at a time.
